I have the new multiplayer

Mango author Lena allowed in the closed beta for Survival Multiplayer Dragon Ball: fighting for survival The Breakers few hours. From initial frustration and boredom fun eventually became. In this article you learn whether Dragon Ball: The Breakers your time is worth.

Filled with an overdose of nostalgia and rocking in the chair, I waited anxiously for my closed beta key and the corresponding 4-hour time frame in which I Dragon Ball: The Breakers was finally allowed to test.

What kind of game Dragon Ball: The Breakers is an asymmetric Survival multiplayer, which very strongly to games like Dead by Daylight or Friday the 13th: The Game recalls.

A player takes on the position of the robber, while seven more are struggling to survive.

Both parties pursue different goals during a game:

The survivors: escape and / or front of the robbers defeat him. The robber: Kill all the survivors and prevented their escape

Other features of the game:

Simple character creation for male and female survivors. In-game shop with cosmetics, accessories, emoticons... (available via premium currency or normal currency). Spirit Rent Overcoat as Geisha mechanics. Geisha is that their game currency must invest or often real money to get random heroes. Whether one in Dragon Ball: can output The Breakers' money is not yet known. Possible strengthening of skills of the survivors in training. Survivors can disguise themselves as objects and use other gadgets to escape the robbers.

Dragon Ball: The Breakers works so very different from its predecessors Buddha Tenkaichi 3 or Dragon Ball Genovese 2 that apply rather than combats.

Nevertheless, The Breakers plays in Genovese universe, and you can have your score of Genovese 2 to the Co-op Survival transmitted.

What is transferred exactly, I can not say, but I suspect that your character will act from Genovese 2 as a survivor in The Breakers unfortunately you — so you have might not necessarily create a new character.

About the author Lena: Since Dragon Ball then ran on RTL 2, I'm a fan of the series. I am now 28 years old and virtually grew up with it. Especially the Cell saga with Kid Golan for me is simply the culmination of Dragon Ball (Z). The more I was pleased to see Cell as a robber in the closed beta.

So far I could hardly experience in asymmetric Survival Games, which one a person and not put NPC as an opponent's nose. Dragon Ball: The Breakers was therefore a real Neuerfahrung for me.

My introduction to the game — preparation for the massacre

When I of Dragon Ball beta: The Breakers started me attacked directly all settings for graphics, controls and sound. Unfortunately, I could not choose a German language edition — I was secretly hoping to classical RTL-2-voice Tommy Jorgensen as Roku. Well, well, had the original sound, so Japanese, serve with German subtitles.

After that, the menu was followed by the character creation, which has been kept very simple. But still there was plenty of choice at the Dragon Ball typical hairstyles and eyes. The outfits I could decide to my chagrin, only between two variants: Half naked or clothed athletic.

Although I usually spend hours at the felt character creation, I needed this time about 4 minutes and was done with it. But that was mainly because I even put me a limit, you could not spend forever in beta, but only 4 hours per time slot.

Then threw me in the game a tutorial window, which I skimmed at least partially.... That should take revenge nor evil. After that, I found my character on a small map again, on which different people and buildings were:

Familiar faces such as Trunks, Burma and the pig Oblong. The room of spirit and time (training for the skills of my characters). The in-game shop. A barber (gives the possibility the character again completely revise). A mailbox. To get new characters by Geisha mechanics The spirit Rent puller.

What her new and different characters need except your survivors? Ever grossly said beforehand: you can by using so-called power of transformation, raise your dragon transformation stage, and so the appearance and Skills borrow a well-known character from Dragon Ball. So you can efficiently fight and you better move because you can fly by.

So after carefully inspected the clear map and may have spent one or two minutes in the Geisha system, I threw myself into the fray.

Catastrophic Start — What am I doing here anyway?

In my first fight I played a survivor. After that, I did not notice about three games that I could put my preference on the robber. Nevertheless, I waved my colleague joyfully in the lobby, which was possible through the available gestures. I did not know which horror was already waiting for me in highland flow (the map name).

I started with two other players in a destruct same environment. Desperately, I ran after one of them, because I had no idea what to do exactly. He had some games behind him and quickly made himself from the field. Loop is probably not too big, I thought, trying to realize alone.

Relatively fast I found out that I could shoot with a weapon to destroy some objects. There were a few boxes open until I came to a help to seek civilians. All you have to do is hold down a button to save your arms. As a thanks, they dropped transformation. Then I found a radar with which I could actually have a valuable key, but then the non-read tutorial overheard: I had no idea how to use the radar. In general, I still did not really know what exactly my job was as a survivor, except to flee. Shortly thereafter, I was found anyway from Cell, the robber, and destroyed with only a few. Not even 2 minutes I had survived. That was really bitter.

Do you think, my team members came to my salvation? Oh, nonsense. Because the other players actually have 60 seconds to revive their buddies and bring them back into play.

Although a dear soul wanted to help me alone, but unfortunately Cell was still in my surroundings and could make him effortlessly.

In retrospect, I noticed that this is a really unfair advantage of the robber: he waits for a corpse, hoping that a survivor comes to revive the body. In subsequent rounds, there were also some robbers, which exploit the disadvantage shamelessly and so almost the entire troop on surviving erased.

The AHA moment: Oh, that's what you really play!

After my head was washed in the first round, I decided to read the tutorial and to gamble more rounds until I finished gradually, How exactly the game actually expires and what the task of survivors is.

There are a total of 3 phases:

They, I love them loving, please Cell, discover and do not kill me while I collect important power wrench phase The defense phase The escape phase, if the defense phase fails.

In the 1st phase, I ran well with strangers around to pick up helpful items, 7 dragon balls, to pick up the so-called super-time machine-oriented wire and bring them to their rightful place.

Because the complete map has areas from A to E in the alphabet. So a total of 5 areas needed a power wrench to charge a start system device that Cell could conquer.

If you quickly ran from A to E and placed all the keys, the 2nd phase began. It was the most stressful for me. All players gathered mostly in the special area Z to accelerate the charge of the start system device.

Of course, Cell did not like that, whose task was in the phase to destroy the device and survivors. Mostly in the phase broke a chaotic fight between everyone who really survived.

The more games I completed, the better I caught myself and could even cope with a plan for the 2nd phase.

So I armed myself for the fight against Cell in the special area: At first I've collected a lot of transformation to increase the Dragon Conversion Level and to borrow the power of super warns.

The type of dragon conversion depends on the level, which was previously reached by transformation. The higher the level, the stronger one. The look and skill of the transformation depends on the characters that you have previously equipped. Each hero is in place 1, 2 or 3. So you will receive level 2, you borrow the skills and the appearance of the figure located in second place. If you actually play with others in the co-op, you can also try to find the 7 Dragon balls together and place in their predictive device. Then you can call the Dragon Sharon, who either enables you to achieve the dragon conversion level 4 or increase the level of all troop members. Dragon Conversion Level 4 is strongly equal to the maximum shape of the robber.

Unfortunately, I was never personally benefit from placing seven Dragon Balls on the altar, as everyone did their own thing in beta., Especially if someone has a Dragonball radar indicating a survivor where the precious balls hide — in a solid group of agreements that is probably much easier to achieve.

If you were strong enough, you could even defeat Cell only by pure fighting and come out ahead: No keys or time machines needed.

What then the third phase? The flight phase then starts when Cell has actually managed to destroy the starting system device. In each area there are then flares empower survivors to call a single run-time engine. To ensure that all survivors can still escape at the last minute if Cell did not kill her before.

As it is for so to play as a robber?

I am aware of the process and skills of Cell, but to my regret, I was never allowed to play as a robber. After about three games I changed though my request for the group search to robber, but I still was always a survivor. Maybe I was unlucky or just out of luck — I do not know.

There are bottom left of the screen a display of priority and a number in front of it. The more I was a survivor, even though I wanted to play as a robber, the higher was the number. When the beta period was over, I had completed about 11 games and the priority was not at 8. I know, unfortunately, from when to be guaranteed must play as a robber.

What should the robber else to do, and what can he? As Cell have to as many survivors as possible to locate and destroy. This one is getting stronger and reached new forms (maximum 4). Once the robber reached a new form, it receives an attack that destroys an entire region. Moreover, Cell has an ability that allows him to track down nearby survivors.

Dragon Ball: The Breakers is totally Dragon Ball

Whether it's the little sound effects if, for example, teleports or characters in typical Dragon Ball style. Everything had caused such a tiny nostalgic hiccups with me.

The round houses in the urban area or the spaceship, which recalled the Namek-Ark with Freeze, let my fan's heart beat faster. I was constantly Blazed: Aww, that's just like in the anime time

The shapes that could reach the robber Cell were also modeled perfectly to the anime. He began as a nasty little larva and could grow into a perfect shape by the consumption of people. I think just thereby Cell is perfect as a villain.

In pictures, we saw already Boo and Freeze as another robber. The fit very well into the Survival Game. Both villains also had several forms in the anime until they reached their full power.

As survivors had to choose between your character and the pig Oblong in beta. Although I myself am almost certain that iconic figures like Burma, Chichi, or the Ox-King could follow as a playable hero.

I am afraid of Geisha aspect

Perhaps my fear is unfounded, but alone that Geisha in Dragon Ball: was included The Breakers, has me incredibly surprised and even shocked some... Now of course I have to ask: If the game for free to get out and financed by (unfair) Geisha, or it will charge and has fair, effective Geisha?

It would be destroyed by such a system a shame a game with so much potential. I hope insane that the Geisha aspect is minimal bonuses and will not decide the game. I pulled down in the Closed Beta 6x for heroes from the Dragon Ball universe: it would get me 2x 4-star heroes and 4x 3-star heroes.

These characters not only have different rarities, but also have strong attacks and outfits, which you can use in Dragon transformation still different. The rarer a hero is, the more useful is its attack — so it seemed.

You need 15,000 Zen or 150 TP token to even be able to pull the banner. Depending on how well you play in a game, you get correspondingly high Zen. About 4500 Zen can grab you when they played a game more perfect. TP token gets her only at level-ups of your character and of which only 3 pieces.

This struck me still negative on:

The control is getting used to and some chunky. Frequent abortions to the host (the robber). The game is then stopped directly and win the survivors. The camera is too close to your own character. That restricts the view something. Survivors need to long to revive companions (about 20 seconds). The start system device needs too long to recharge (around the 2 minutes, but can last longer, depending on how many keys you have placed before and how many survivors help). However, a few negative points could stir that I had no solid play partners and was with strangers in the lobby. We could not correctly agree and target, strategically against the robber. Conclusion after the Closed Beta: Is it worth your time? What do you say? Will her be sometimes in Dragon Ball: The Breakers Cleans or Is anything like nothing for you? Write us in the comments.
